One-second first paint: cutting a 4MB site down to 400KB
Image formats, font subsetting, critical CSS and lazy loading — a full teardown of a real project.
About us
QuratedOne is a team of strategists, designers and engineers. We believe a website earns its value not on the day it launches, but every day afterwards — explaining who you are, and turning visitors into customers. That is why every project ships three things at once: a clear information architecture, a visual system that ages well, and a codebase your team can actually maintain.
What we do
Six core services covering every stage of a website’s life.
Before anything gets designed, we settle who you are talking to, what you are saying, and in what order. Interviews, competitor teardowns, sitemaps and content frameworks.
Visual language, component library and full responsive design. You get a system that can keep growing — not a folder of one-off screens.
Semantic, accessible and fast. Modern front-end frameworks on a solid server architecture, delivered into your own repository.
So marketing can edit a page without filing a ticket. Visual editing, multilingual content, roles and version history — configured around how your team actually works.
Catalogue, payment, fulfilment and membership joined up, then analytics and A/B testing to win back every step you were losing.
Launch is the beginning. Monitoring, security patching, performance audits and quarterly iterations — we stay on retainer, we don’t disappear.
Work
Between October 2024 and April 2025 we worked closely with the marketing and sales teams at Hengxin Precision to rebuild the site that serves their international customers. The project began with more than thirty interviews, and they revealed that the old site’s real problem was not that it looked dated — it was that product specifications sat four levels deep, where no buyer would ever find them.
We rebuilt the information architecture, turned product selection into a three-step filter, and moved the enquiry form onto every product page. At the same time we migrated the site onto a new front-end stack, taking first paint from 4.8 seconds to 1.2.
Six months after launch, qualified enquiries were up 43%, overseas traffic had grown from 18% to 37% of the total, and marketing published a new product page on their own for the first time. The same architecture now powers two more brands in the group.
Talk to us about your project →Corporate site · Manufacturing
A modular page system that lets eight product lines share one site without fighting each other.
E-commerce · Lifestyle
Rebuilt checkout and product pages lifted mobile order completion by a third in six weeks.
Content platform · Education
A trilingual course site where the editorial team now publishes 20+ pieces a week unaided.
Process
No black box. Every stage ends with something you can see.
Interviews, analytics and competitor teardowns, ending in a diagnosis of where the problem actually is.
Architecture, wireframes, art direction and a full design system — all clickable in a prototype as we go.
A live preview environment every two weeks, so you watch it take shape instead of meeting it at the end.
Migration, monitoring and team training, then monthly performance audits and content iteration.
